Vanessa Hudgens found herself in negative media limelight for the second time this year on charges of “nude photos” that were released to the ‘place were all things are found’…the internet. The High School Musical star’s peccadillo came shortly before the release of her newest film Bandslam set for release today.
Vanessa Hudgens’ first case of public unrest happened in September 2007 when three photos were released online; one of which showed Hudgens in the nude. After a public apology and explanation that the pictures were taken only for private use, the young star was apparently forgiven for her poor judgement. However “once bitten, twice shy” doesn’t seem to have meaning for Vanessa as a second batch of photos emerged online. This time the photos were of Vanessa posing topless.
The Vanessa Hudgens nude photos are on various blog sites including one famous and controversial blogger that took it upon himself to display the photos without leaving anything to the imagination. In statement Vanessa Hudgens’ lawyer revealed that the offending blog sites were asked to remove the photos as they were in violation of Hudgens’ privacy rights.
There is further hubbub that accuses the actress of deliberately releasing the second batch of photos to promote hype and publicity for her new movie Bandslam. However Vanessa Hudgens Bandslam co-stars are standing by her on the premise that these attacks are a result of jealousy of her relationship with High School Musical co-star Zac Effron. Despite the valorous attempts of defending Vanessa’s honor, the question at large is “how did the pictures get to the internet.” How do photos of this nature find themselves in the wrong hands?”
With similar stories of stars such as Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus and R&B singers Cassie and Rihanna who had leaked nude photos in this year, this type of behavior seems to be turning into a trend for young female celebrities. What’s worst is that these are not the typical girls with the “badass, don’t give a damn” persona, but the ones that are looked upon as role models by their impressionable fans.
Twilight star Ashley Greene also shared the same predicament when her nude photos surfaced a few days ago. The photos are allegedly a result of a home-made photo shoot. Ashley Greene is reportedly angered that her completely nude photos are now in the public limelight and threatens legal action against any website that the pictures are found on.
Both Ashley and Vanessa were present at the Teen Choice awards last Sunday, with Ashley winning the Fresh Face Female Award and Vanessa suffering a cruel joke about her recent demise.
The latest in this string of nude reports is Pop Crunch’s report of popular singer/actor Jamie Foxx. The clear difference this time is that Jamie is not a young female idol but a 41 year old father of two and seasoned veteran in the entertainment industry.
